Park Boss (CO-Owner)

Sonya

Sonya Co-Founded I Cause Happy Paws in 2013, and actively manages the day-to-day logistics of Park Operations. After graduating from Middlebury College with a Master’s Degree in Italian, she worked as a High School Language Teacher in Boston before relocating to Dallas to pursue her dream of starting a specialized business with her long time college friend Michael. Sonya spends her spare time learning about dog behavior and training techniques, which helps her provide top notch service to her clients. Sonya is the proud Mom of a Shiba Inu named Heart and a Poodle named Sophia.

Michael

Michael Co-Founded I Cause Happy Paws with his long time college friend Sonya in 2013. Michael originally introduced the idea of moving to Texas and to pursue their dream business. Michael has a particular passion for animals and teaming up with Sonya to launch a pet services business was a natural match for the two friends. Michael leads the Marketing and Business Operations of the company, but you’ll also see him on the park engaging all the pups. Michael has a Masters Degree from Manhattanville College in Organizational Management & Human Resource Development and is the proud Dad of a lovable and gorgeous white kitty named Callie.

Enjoy the interaction with dogs.Forming bounds with the dogs.Enjoy the smaller workplace environments and the relationships that can be formed beacause of having such a tight knit group.

Sonia

Sonia has always loved animals so the decision to become a dog trainer and a veterinary technician was an easy one, she loves helping sick animals and training dogs to be the best that they can be!
Xena is her first service dog and Sonia trained Xena with the help of another trainer. When Xena isn’t working she loves to get belly rubs, play keep away with her toys and howl along with sirens.

My name is Hector and I’m originally from Long Beach California now living in Dallas. I’ve been a dog lover all my life. I have a dachshund named Buster who is my best friend. I love working for I Cause Happy Paws because I get to meet and play with all my new furry friends! The best part is getting to play with them and make sure they get all the love they need!

Christian is an Alabama native who has come to Texas to study Engineering at SMU. Christian doesn’t have any pets of his own so he loves coming to the park and playing with all the dogs. He also enjoys the flexible schedule that allows him to focus on his studies while allowing him the opportunity to make money in his spare time doing something he enjoys.

Noah

Noah studies Engineering at SMU. He doesn’t have any pets of his own but loves coming to the park and playing with all the pups. He enjoys working outdoors and staying active while making extra money.


